September Hatch-A-Long!

Sounds like a good mix to me :) All these post are making me excited to get more eggs to hatch since I only have 5 hens (3 EE and 2 polish crested). Sounds like a good brooder setup to me. I hope you don't have them as close as I do... I have a make shift brooder in my bedroom next to my guinea pigs lol (it can get pretty loud) but I only put 3 eggs in the bator so I only have 3 chicks right now.
And they'll go in the official brooder after the first 2 or 3 days, I like to keep them close for a few days then they go in a big 2 foot by 4 foot brooder box I built for in the coop :D
LOL Yep! I got all but 2 eggs from a local Farm here in WV.
In the Mix are Blue Laced Red Wyandotte(2), Wheaton Ameracana(1 with one more pipped), a Silkie(1), Partridge Cochins(what most are LOL) and I believe one white cochin, and I got one white one with no feather feet so I think A delaware egg might have gotten mixed in there, but that's OK Then one from my Australorp roo/white leghorn hen.

Well, if you just want chicks...you can order 3 chicks from My Pet Chicken.com....although they are about 4.00 a piece...

Hello, just posting so I can follow along, I had a hen go broody, set eggs under her on 8-29-13. Is that too late to join in, if so, like I said, I'll just follow along. Thanks a bunch, Chirp :jumpy

:( All of the embryos are dead! I want to smash that company...(Brower) Their incubator has such a horrible temperature management...The light flashes on and off according to the temperature set at-99.5 for me, so after adding some water the temperature went up, well guess what that light isn't supposed to be on if it is OVER the temperature. So overnight, it sky rocketed to 111 degrees, killing every one of them. Oh let me Tell ya, that company will pay!
All of those bad hatches-they better give my money back! I am going to send them a letter about that.... I am so mad...
:th:( Chirp

Well not sure what to do. went into the shop and my one chick that actually hatched 9 days ago has one leg all twisted backwards and can't walk.. I just took out the paper 2 days ago and they're on the 1/4" mesh. I even bought 2 silkie chicks to keep it company. Although I did start my second attempt at incubating. I just put 48 eggs into the bator. figured I won't waste a bunch more eggs till I get a decent hatch, then I'll load it up. Anyone know what I can do for the little chick other than cull, My 11 yr old daughter wants me to take it to a vet( not likely).

I have one more Serama and one I'm waiting on. 2 pipped Easter Eggers. I love the yellow chipmonk strip on the blond chick.
1. 3 Seramas 2. One of my 3 day old Langshans next to a new Serama. 3. I haven't had one this color yet.

4. Waiting for him to rest up. 5. The last 2 of my 12 EEs. 6. Last hatched Serama.
