September Hatch-A-Long!

This is my wrong end pipper. its been approx 16 hrs..it has made some progress but the white membrane is worrying me.

i had one do this i gave it about 30 hours and it still haddnt done anything, so i chipped the shell away for it (in zipp fashion) and it was able to finish on its own. it was upside down and backwards in there. just try to make sure you need to help before you help give it plenty of time on its own, the white membrane was normal for my hatchs so far.
looks like this guy is doing good so far. 16 hours is nothing

is it normal for chicks to gorge until there crops are huge?? or should i be worried??
98% of my chicks gorge and get a lopsided huge crop. The first chick, I thought there was something wrong because it was huge and mostly on the chicks right side. But that's where it's suppoed to be.

this is our 3 and a half month old "pepper"
So cute.

Yeah, my little turkey!

I can't wait for him to dry off so I can cuddle him.

I have not reported about my hatch due Monday because I thought I killed them.
And probably did with the exception of one that decided to hatch a little while ago.
It has been crazy here. My sons wife passed away from cancer .............I was busy trying to help him.
I came home the day before lock down to find the temp spiked to 110.I don't know why.
I don't know for how long.
I was going to toss the eggs...I was so upset I really thought I was going to throw up.
Dh convinced me to do lockdown just in case.............Was going to toss them today but had not gotten around to it.
At supper.........I heard a chirp and sure enough.....there was a beautiful WA almost out of it's shell..............
It is perfect, legs OK........everything seems to be in order.....sure hope I get at least one more...................
Have not candled yet but had set 10 the day before the spike so......................

When everything goes wrong but you get one anyway, that one seems extra special, doesn't it?

So bummed :( My 10 rare bielefelder eggs are all completely clear on day 8 - and they are in pristine condition - just not fertile :/ Day 14 for my 3 colloncas and 3 huastecs and 1 of each has died, sigh.... meanwhile my 2 lockdown eggs pipped this morning and are still just sitting there.
