I candled a few of my eggs tonite (only day 6). I could see what seems to be detached air sac in a couple. I saw 1 good, definate, obvious black eye. Some light veining but the yolk appeared to move when turning the egg (yolk not in the circle shape like when you crack an egg open) in other eggs.
Im not positive about any of them other then the 1 with the obvious eye, so I left them all. I can usually tell by day 5, so I dunno.
My goose eggs on the other hand, are so dark and barely able to see through, but could see shadows of movement in the air sac area.
The bad thing is, Im not sure when I started bating them and when they are supposed to hatch. And really, I hadnt kept up on turning them much.
I didnt expect much since I had read they were harder to hatch. And they have been in the stupid LG, with wide temp spikes! O yikes! Am I going to have deformed geese??
We started out with 7 eggs given to us, 3 were eaten, 4 went into bator. Along the way, 1 didnt develop and 1 stopped developing. So 2 left.
