set eggs july 17, hatch aug 7 2022? - Hatch Along

Broody still sitting, candles eggs yesterday on day 10, I saw veins in all but about it as they are green and brown eggs and I wasnt in the darkest area.

So, broody was very agitated this morning. I looked at her nest and found a 4-foot blacksnake and only 3 of the 8 eggs.

I'm out all day today. If she resettles I'll give her new eggs. If not I'll toss the eggs into the woods and let her out.

So far so good on my eggs, this is from July 19th.Have almost all of the eggs showing life.

Had to let my broody out after the trauma of sharing her space with a snake yesterday.

If she resettles I'll give her fresh eggs. If she doesn't I'll pitch the eggs into the woods because she wasn't sitting on the ones that the snake didn't eat.

Ugh! Candled my eggs last night. only one had veins. don’t know if it’s me or the incubator. my temp and humidity is reading fine! i’m going to leave them all for now and hope they start developing.

Sure hope so, also if you wait you can see movement in the egg.When they look like tiny spiders you can see the heart beating.Its very fascinating.
