I've got two Serama hens who are setting about 7 eggs each starting last Sunday, so I got a few days' jump on you. It's the first time for each hen, but so far they're acting like old pros. I'm also coming up on hatch day for my first attempt with my Little Giant incubator. Candling shows that I need to take a lesson from some of my hens, but I'm still holding out that I'll at least get one or two.

I just set about 80 eggs! Giant Cochins, Buff Orpingtons, white cochins, black/blue cochins,silver sebrights, frizzles, guienas, silver pheasant, and quail! Oh and 5 duck eggs too!

Edit because I forgot Salmon Favorelle!

I set 38 this afternoon. I put in some from our girls, some EEs and some white japanese bantams. This is my second hatch and I hope I learned enough from my first try to get more than a 50% hatch rate.

I will candle my bantams on day 7, but the browns and greens I will wait till day 10 or 12.

I set 9 under my broody yesterday. EE/RIR and RIR. Shes a first time mom and only 11 months old. HOpe she does well.

I put 6 under a broody BTW japanese bantam, and put another 7 buff orpingtons in the incubator.

Hey, i er i guess we are in!!! I loaned a friend my incubator to hatch 30 eggs he purchased from, "thepetspaw", and i also threw 12 of my mutt eggs in to fill the turner at 7:30 am on the 2 of April, good luck to all and sending happy hatching vibes out in all directions from southern Iowa !!!
