I candled, and all my Langshan eggs are coming right along--every single one (from shipped eggs) developing. The Marans eggs, I can't see anything but air cells, so I'm just

I was going to candle tonight too. I now have a staggered setting. Although shipped the same time, one batch came 2 days later. I hate when that happens. I will candle the 5 day eggs tonight. Lets hope shipping has not been to harsh on them!

I want to candle so bad! I am trying to make myself wait till day 7 for my White Jap Bantams and day 10 for RIR and EE eggs. I am on day 5 now. Well maybe I will just take a quick peek at the bantams

Then I can check them again when I do the others.

I have seen nice veining at 5 days. I don't throw any out until day 10 if they are clear. Lets hope I have some veins

Day 5.
Well I just could not help myself. I candled tonight. I was going to just do the White Jap Bantams from my MIL and 8/10 had veining.

Then I thought I will just check one EE. Boy was I glad I did that. It was cracked and sticking to the turner a little. Not sure how/when that happened. I candled it before it went in and did not see the crack. I got it out and candled and it had good veins so I sealed it with wax. I will check it again in a few days. So after I found that one I figured I better check the rest. I had veining in 7/8 of my shipped EE eggs

! So them I thought well I might as well check the RIR eggs from our girls. I could only see veining on a few of those, but the eggs I picked have thick brown shells. Last time I had to wait till day 10 to see anything.
So much for self control.

Ok, I just candled the 8 eggs that are on day 5.. 3 had bloodrings, 1 clear and 4 beautiful embryos. One was so easy to see. The little black dot was moving all aroung and I think it waved at me

Nice veining on the 4 eggs also. I have 12 more in there that are on day 3 so I will candle them in a couple days. So lets hope I have good luck with the other 12.

I've been checking mine right along because I have no patience and I have good veins in 6-7 some have a dark spot and some are clear with speckles all over which I am assuming is bacteria? I will wait until Sunday to start removing just to be safe. Also discovered a cracked one that I removed. Can't wait until the 23rd. I hope it goes well.

Well I checked all my eggs that I was unsure of last night and had to get rid of 2. One had a blood ring and the other was just starting to smell.

But I still have 36/38 eggs with babies swimming in them. I have one that was cracked and I sealed with wax. I am watching that one close. I took it out to check last night and at first I thought it had a blood ring (maybe it is starting) but then I saw movement so I put it back.

I hope it makes it. Anyone have luck with the wax thing?

I have eggs due on the 20th. I have 15 but 1 of them looks like it has died but I am not tossing it yet and am just waiting to see if it grows anymore. In the other 14 I see lots of bouncing babies but I dont see any movment in that one and can't see good viening either but I wanna wait.
