Candled eggs on the 16th , and three are clear, the other 39 looked good. Should hatch the 23rd, will take out of turner soon !!! Good luck to everybody !!!!!!!

I took out two or three clear Marans eggs,

for the rest.

Thought all was going good till I candled on day 17 and still saw a lot of room in the eggs. Rechecked my thermometer and it was reading about 2-3 degrees high, so for who knows how many days my real temp had been that much lower that I thought.

The thing was right on when I started so I have no ides when it quit working right. So now I have no idea what I will end up with. I don't even know if I should take them out of the bator and put into the hatcher.

At least I still have 34 with babies moving in them. Now I guess I just have to wait and see what happens.

I will bring some to Chickenstock, if they hatch.. I had some temp issues last night after taking the turner out. I couldn't get the temp back up. It was at about 98 degrees for about 6 hours. I know it may just slow them down a bit, but I hope they are ok.

First egg hatched this evening!!!!

But they were not due till Thursday morning ??

and i was expecting a slow hatch as the TWO thermometers in the bator consistently read 98 or 99 degrees F and 50 to 65 precent humidity !!!!
