Set my very first eggs today (due March 24th) - need a hatching buddy!

Hello All, I also set 8 eggs yesterday, one from each of my Ladies. I was cruising through a bunch of BYC threads on incubating. I was a little bored so on a whim I built an incubator. Haveing an incubator sitting there with nothing in it is like baking an apple pie and not eating it. So.........Here I am with 8 of my Ladies eggs already set, 6 beautiful BO eggs showing up next week, a hatcher to build for my staggered hatch, and 1/2 acre of empty land that I keep eyeballing for coops and runs.

This all started 9 months ago. All I wanted was a few fresh eggs...........

Mine started last May-I got 8 laying hens for my 20th anniversary(along with a coop, laying boxes, etc.). Boy, does my husband wish he could rewind that anniversary gift!

I want to be a buddy in this hatch along toooooo!!
I have my first broody and I got my eggs in the mail today and got them under
her around 11:00. I never did have a good hatch rate with my bator so I thought
I would try to do it the natural way this time.
I also had one egg from one of my other hens that just started laying so I put that
under her too. it is only the third egg that she has laid but the other two I checked looked
fertile so I am so excited!!!!
Yea babies!!!!!!!!!

YAY HATCHING PARTY!!!!!

I just made my own water wiggler to test the temperature of what it may be like inside the eggs....it's 99.5F YES!!!! It's like a huge science experiment in elementary school!

March is going to be a busy month for us hatchers
