How about a never ending hatch-along? Anyone hatching at the time can join in.Great! guess we should start a jan hatch thread.
LOL!!!!.
Well i know they need to be laying and have a roo!
Only takes a couple seconds really lol, there is no grace to it lulsGuess i should post this someplace else but I am so ignorant when it comes to birds...Dogs cats im fine but birds?...hummm...
So when a roo mates a hen does it just take a second ?.Sort of fly up and get on her and off that quick ? Or do they stay for a minute or so to mate?
Anybody know?
2 of my roos have been jumping on the hens but only for seconds ...like 2 seconds or 1 no longer almost like they are running over them. or are they just practicing?

Projects are building a mutt flock of hens for eating eggs, and freezer stock piling. Then building up the flock breeds with the pure breedsThats not bad for so many eggs. Are you doing projects with some?
Yeah thats a little high. I aim for about 65% But as they start to hatch the humidity will go up on its own. I'd vent out a bit of the moisture. Good rule of thumb is if you have condensation inside the bator, the humidity is too high.Ideal lockdown humidity? Is 83% too high?
thank you!!! I took out a washcloth and its down to 77% I'm gonna try switching to a smaller dish of water and see if I ant bring it down a bit moreYeah thats a little high.
