Setting eggs today! (10-11-10) Anyone Else??? pic added pg 8

I popped my eggs in the incubator on 10/9, so just a little bit early for this round. Hope that's okay?

I have 18 eggs total, 14 in the incubator and 4 I popped under a broody Cochin hen this evening - she really needed a few eggs. My eggs are B/B/S Cochins (standards), 7 of which are hopefully Frizzles!

Set mine 10/10. The day before my birthday. Didn't realize it at the time but they are due to hatch on halloween. Candled them today and all 19 have moving embryos. Most will be a cross of a RIR roo + Leghorn and Buff Orpington. This is my first hatch. So far so good.

Candled again this morning and looks like 16/19 are going strong. Then again, I'm new at this and could be seeing things.

thats great! I cant wait to hatch some fuzzy babies. I had 2 chicks hatch under a broody the other day. she wasnt takeing care of them so I brought them in the house to brood. One blue and one partridge. I just love baby chicks! JEN

I candled mine last night with a led torch in pitch darkness at my allotment (it's scary going there on a night time) and the 2 remaining buff eggs and 1 barnevelder egg looks like there developing, there's also 2 more one looks like a dud and the other has a blood ring and i'm not sure if there was something moving in it or not

LOL. 10/10 was my Birthday!!

I set some eggs on 10-9ish. they are bantam cochin crosses. I have some quail eggs I put in the bator on monday. they wil hatch a little bit after the chicken eggs. 16 and 17 day incubation. Buttons and Coturnixes.

I'm so excited, I've never hatched button quail before. Those eggs are so tiny!! I can't imagine how small the chicks will be!!

Well, I have now have three different breeds in my bators. My first ones..Marans, the Splash-Blue, and possibly black ones are doing well. I have 7 that are swimmers. Day 10 for them.

I also have some little Polish swimmers that are only 6 days..can't see the Welsummers except on the ones that aren't as speckeled...but the ones that aren't are also swimming.

I'm going to have some cute little fuzzy butts by the end of the month, and the first of the month..the others are just nice pretty blue and green eggs..EE's. One is huge..and I asked a question about it on another place..there is a water bubble at the top of the egg. hmm......

Anyway, this is so much fun, only a week and a half to go before I get some babies..oh, and I had a hen for a bit that had been fertilized by a roo..she's a red sex link..and the the roo a leghorn..she laid beautiful eggs..so, I thought why not..held onto the three I got while I had her, and yep, they are swimming along side the Marans. Just waiting time now...

I go into lock down with my blue & splash, Marans. I'm excited, once that day comes, it isn't long before I have some babies. Excited to see what I get.
Anyone else close to lock down? Or, has anyone had their little ones hatch?
