Hi All. I've spent all day in the heat 'sewing' the seams of the hardware cloth on my run with 24-gauge (thin) metal wire, kinda like a whip stitch. It looks very tight. I was just stepping back and admiring my work when I started wondering if a critter couldnt maybe chew through this wire? Mind you, I don't intend on leaving my chickens out in the run overnight...but still, I want the run to be super strong.
What do you think--Am I ok?
Any suggestions appreciated
Anne Marie.

I did that exact same thing, 9 years ago and it's still holding strong, perfect as a matter of fact.
I've seen raccoons climb up the hutch, trying to get in.

I had bought a rabbit hutch and the boy who owned it had cut holes in the front hardware cloth for feeders & waterers.
