Yes same thing here, almost a 3 hr drive be there early… they don’t have a minimum but it’s not worth the gas in my truck to just bring a few. I brought a few Roos I couldn’t rehome a couple yrs ago.Totally different taste. I wish I had someone rather than do myself. Nearest place is 2 and half hours away. And they have a 25 minimum, and have to be there 8am and take home hours later.
Oh and they are Amish so when the weather changes they stop processing
yesAnd can turkeys and chickens be raised together???
Good to know - I see some research in the near future for me. Might need a bigger barn - or shift the horses somewhere hahaha - poor geegees I already took over my one mares supper sized stall for a Summer House - will need it for a Turkey house now I guess.
And can turkeys and chickens be raised together???
Can anyone confirm this for turkeys and silkies too? I thought it was only possible with sturdy chickens.
My turkeys have squashed chickens. If there is a lot of room and places to hide and the chickens will run, it's ok.Can anyone confirm this for turkeys and silkies too? I thought it was only possible with sturdy chickens.
Ok turkeys in their own run!My turkeys have squashed chickens. If there is a lot of room and places to hide and the chickens will run, it's ok.
I just had a rooster that wouldn't run killed. When Turkeys get an idea they can be relentless.
