Its beautiful!I've mentioned a sculptor called Hugo a few times on this thread. I named the lamp Soft Hugo after this man.
Artists are supposed to eccentric I've read. I'm a major disappointment in this area.
Hugo works with stone. He doesn't like working with wood. He does though occasionally.
Hugo doesn't sell his work anymore. He has given me lots of reasons why, none of which I've found convincing.
I will get him to let me take some pictures of his stone sculptures eventually. I'm persistent like that.
We, here at the funny farm do however have this. Hugo threw this out. He didn't like it. It got rescued from the rubbish. There was another I've been told but it got badly damaged when he through that one out.
Hugo's work is world class. There isn't any doubt about this and his knowledge is incredible.
It's a shame that this piece wasn't looked after by the people in the main house. Talking to Hugo about it it's about five grands worth of work and, in the right circumstances sell for something like that.

Very earthy! The area where I live has a lot of decent artists. This man is a friend who recently moved out here. If you like unusual pottery his stuff is worth looking at.
