Ive posted in other threads with this project, but its my Crele easter egger line, i'll be hatching F3s this spring. Id like em to be more of a mint or turquorise egg and not a sky blue like I see in my ameraucana lines.

I started a cuckoo ameraucana bantam line last year but scraped it due to kidney stones.. they made raising alot of growouts too difficult. I plan to reboot the barred project again in spring Im using silver ameraucana bantams with dominique bantams, this way I can get silver crele bantams as well.. nothing major but I hope to keep 2 roosters this year to keep it going.

I also have a buff/wheaten nakedneck bantam hen with my wheaten ameraucana bantams, I wouldnt mind a wheaten nakedneck blue/green egger line. This one isnt a major project either but I'll keep a trio each year to keep it going 😎

Also got this cool guy from an ameraucana bantam cross, hes the black gold pic attached. I made a blue gold years ago so it'd be cool to have a bbs gold pen, not really pursuing this pen but at least the possibility is there if I decide to take that route!

Pictures of the eggs would be nice
Eggs arent where they need to be yet, just an end goal. Theyre all green so far except one F2 hen has a real nice blue color yet shes yellow skinned, muffless, and hasnt laid since winter hours set in.. After I cross in pure silvers, egg colour should be alot closer to end goal shade.. but I'll post a pic of her egg as soon as she kickstarts again

It should be possible to create super blue eggers if we combine the recessive blue egg mutation found in Quails and the dominant Oocyan mutation found in chickens(gene editing)

How interfertile are quail and chickens?

I assume you'd have to do a cross between the species, and have it both live and be fertile so you could cross back to chickens.

He's beautiful! Do you mind telling us what the other breed is, other than Ameracauna?
