Haven't posted here since my life flipped upside down, but. I live on a farm now, we currently have a flock of 6 (4 hens, 2 roosters) and chicken math happened.

Us: let's get 6 more hens
Us, buying hens: oops we ordered 25 (plus 1 freebie)!

There are so many different colors! Once they are more settled in I will get pictures out of the red light. They all arrived alive and LOUD and all look to be in good shape. No one seems weak. Our free mystery chick appears to be one of the breeds we ordered as there are no singletons! Haha

So we had a breach of the walls today, and the chicks escaped :| Luckily they all huddled in a corner and none of them found they way out of the crack under my door, and out into the world of the dogs and cats... anyway, we had to count them all and it turns out we have 28! We were only supposed to have 26! Chicken math strikes again! in reality, we counted when we got them and knew we had 28, but I forgot we only were supposed to have 26, until I looked at the order while counting rescued chicks.
