That should make some kids happy!

I love giving them to school kids. On several occasions kids have come to pick up chicks and the find out when they get here, that they actually go to school with and know my kids! These should be very nice chicks. I hope some end up at the Del Mar fair.

Check this out...I may be starting my very first "project". With some advise from Ms. Bev Davis herself!

Have you seen other blue birchen? i can not find info anywhere on them. I must be looking in the wrong place. How would I breed him to improve and get more?

Hi

If you haven't got any birchen hens I would breed him to a black copper hen and you will get some silver birchen and black copper hens. The reason is, he is carrying two sets of genes, one silver and the other gold. In the next generation you would want to breed him to his silver birchen daughter and select a rooster that is carrying two sets of silver genes. To get fresh blood breed the male carrying two sets of silver genes to a black copper or blue copper female and keep the females, they will be silver birchen.

Sounds like this could be cool...isn't my boy pretty

It was really really really nice going up there to visit.

Everybody wish me luck. Leaving tomorrow for 4 days of dog shows in Alamogordo, NM. Hopefully, my GLCs will arrive alright before I leave. I have their isolation pen set up in the backyard.

Do any of you use frontline??? If so, how much do you use?
