Gingers do too have souls!!!
Guess we should have linked you to Heather's old thread (And if you look at her profile, she has some pictures of her fabulous Orloffs!)

That's 'cause you're Purple!![]()
I'm not afraid of snakes, but when I thought it was a rattler I stood at a very respectful distance. Could not believe how loud it hissed! (That's why the resolution on the pic is not so good - I was a good 8 feet away.)
I really hope she pulls through. Once they are mobile it's usually all up hill.Miracle is hanging in there. I gave her a couple of drops of nutri drench last night at bed time. She is no longer gasping. She had her butt washed. Tried eating a bit. Peeping along to Bette Middle at the moment. She is nestled with her friend. She has started to walk about a bit. Not out of the woods yet though.![]()
I love it!!She is in the bra brooder. It's the first time she has settled to sleep and not continuously cry. Poor little mite.
You had the greatest day ever!!! I hope it was the silkie! And what a score with the brinsea. I can't wait for your first hatch in it!Surprise! I came home to 2 eggs in the nest box! You know what that means? At least one of my silkies is female!! The only other possibility is a 16-week old LO, so I'm betting on the silkie that was squatting for me, Molly, or both! Also stopped on my way home and picked up my Brinsea. Found a few extra goodies in the bottom of the box. A couple nice thermometer/hygrometers and a scale, so I'll test them for accuracy tonite. Happy day!![]()

I would have had a heart attack! Good thing the dogs gave you the heads up!Well we had a visitor in our house this morning. I was out in the coop going over where everything was with my neighbor, when I heard my husband yelling for me to come get the dogs. (Dogs were barking their heads off) He came out the front door and said there was a rattlesnake in the house! Dragged the dogs to the back part of the property, and ran to get the extension pole that had a paint roller on the end. I propped the back screen open and DH herded it out through the sun room to the back yard. (OK, after getting on my case because I stopped to get a picture!) Then we noticed it didn't really have a rattle, although it sounded like it and was twitching his tail. It was a 4 1/2 foot Bull Snake. Scooted it into an empty trash can and took him to the end of the street to go on his merry way. Now my Border Collie refuses to go anywhere near the sun room and won't go in and out the back door. Oh well. They did a good job keeping the snake at the door to the sun room so it didn't end up under the furniture or under the bed!![]()
I love the feathered legs and feet! He does look like little Mr. Personality.I have a feeling this little fella is a keeper![]()

Awesome snake. All we have around here is garter snakes, water snakes. Used to have green and brown snakes in Southern Maine (I'm sure they're still there, but I'm not there!) They also have pine rattlers. But, I've not seen a snake on my property in the last 2 years. I miss them. Would not feel that way about poisonous snakes.Well we had a visitor in our house this morning. I bet the stuff would clean off skin easier if you gave yourself a good skin treatment with lotion or oil before using it.Pump or bar Lava? Will have to make sure I have it on hand. Got some on my hand last week & it stayed there for 3-4 days.
Bar soap.

I don't watch pro ball at all, but I am a fanatic about college ball, especially SEC. TN looks to be building a new program, and SC is falling apart. I can't wait to see how this season plays outyeah I knew he came from the rocks not sure which one .we see local interviews that don't hit the major networks and this team and some of the players made it hard to watch or care about backing them . notice I said some .they let two young QBs get hurt bad. I think he will be great here or somewhere else . I liked what I saw. Bud Adams was a hands on owner and I think that hurt quit a bit. It's bad when the players say other players wouldn't do there job. and here .so maybe I'll get into football a little more .today I'm still into chickens.
