you don't have to live by that rule you can brood one and two week old chicks together no problem. we do it all the time . I would get the hatch going and have a better chance hatching chicks than loading two week old eggs . because I remember Walnuts stats a little and twenty day old eggs don't hatch that good . the thought I had was more along the lines of this . if you have two dozen eggs by Saturday. set those . start gathering again . for the next Saturday which will be the same time as your shipped eggs come in enough to fill up the turner in incubator #1 which already has week old eggs turning . you should have your dozen shipped eggs rested and ready to go . if they come on time you are only going to have a dozen eggs in the incubator . and maybe two dozen in incubator #1 when it's time to lock them down to hatch take the dozen shipped and put them in incubator #1 use #2 as your hatcher . I have confused my self hope I didn't confuse you dose this make sense ?
This is a great idea!! Thank you so much. Apparently I'm over thinking things and can't come up with simple solutions..lol
I'll be setting (some) eggs this Saturday!!
