She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

I know we have so many places up here where satellite is the only choice if you want internet. Not a single one has an unlimited plan like TWC or Verizon DSL either. I don't know what I would do with a data cap. Between homeschooling, my usage and my son's, we'd be screwed.

Yep, that's his position... think he's got hughesnet? Just burnin' him up on the timing right now... he has been waiting and waiting for you to come back... :)

Ruby, I have my Brinsea set on 100.4 to keep the Spot Check at 99.6 at top of the eggs. I was surprised when I put the Spot check in there and had to up it that much. That room stays a little cooler than the rest of my house though.
That's interesting. Mine is a glass thermometer and I had it set at 99.5 but it was actually more around 100.5-101. But I think I figured out why just the other day. When staring in the bator watching chicks hatch, I noticed there was some of the blue liquid that separated from the thermometer and rose to the very end. Think that could be it? I just turned the incubator off and am going to clean it tomorrow, think I will be able to shake it down?
I know I'm going to die for this WV I love you little sister you too Ruby and you Amy and you Too Ravyn. :hugs :hugs :hugs :hugs
Aww, K, you know you are a very special person to all of us! We love you too!
Yes... I've been running 2 Genesis for a year and a half... in fact, I incubated my 24/28 batch of Calls in them... incubated in one, and hatched in the other... and ran the turkey eggs in one... I actually trust them more than my Leahy... and as long as you put in extra thermos and spot check, etc, then no reason to worry...
I just turned the incubator off and plan on experimenting with my humidity next week. I've ordered a couple different things online and hopefully I can come up with a solution. But if not, I'd like to use it to incubate since it runs 40% with both wells full and then possibly get a hatcher. If I do, I will definitely look into the one you recommended. How are the calls & poults, by the way?

And their plans are expensive for the amount you get too. Hughsnet and Exceed are the big satelite ones up here. I looked into them and it's crazy what they want. He's a sweety.

No matter what bator you use, should always have 2 or 3 thermos in it to watch it... thermostats fry at any time...
Calls and poults are doing great... fat, sassy and causing trouble, lol...

Yeah, we're glad we have unlimited data here, but he's way out there...

He is the best friend I have ever had, hands down...

My toughest time of year is right now. It will hold 65% with the paper towel, but the water from day 18 will be gone by the end of day 21. I add it with a straw through the vent.

I put a sponge right under the vent and add very warm water with a syringe. Works great. This is in addition to the channels and paper towels. Stayed between 65 and 70. It has been dry with this cold snap. It was a bit rougher this last time because I set alot more eggs than I usually do.

Nah, it was more like he got lost without you and strayed to the wrong thread...

Good job on the cigs... I can't do that... we'd run outta room for the bodies in the back half...

I hope you have room for at least one body back there! One with a really big fat head and a bad hairdo. . . .

Sorry, Ruby

If I were fighting it that much, I would get one. Once I get through February it's not much trouble.
It still shocks me that anyone hatches in February.
Addicts.

Yep. We had Comcast(unlimited high speed) before we moved here. I went from streaming videos/music almost literally 24/7 to. . . let;s say not. We may get away with one or two hours of streaming 5 days a week now, and it's almost 3x's the price! I've heard in France they get unlimited cell, home internet and tele for some ridiculous amount--$40?

Hi, guys.

Interesting. Not sure if you can shake it down or not, but worth a try. Maybe Friday or some of our clinical people can answer that. I really haven't stressed too much about it. Turning a little more blue, I guess, and just letting it do its thing. So did you just finish a hatch?? And?????

Agree with multiples, I should probably stick another in there too, but I only have the spot check and the unit right now. Great on the lings and poults! And you're so lucky to have K so close by. Lucky girl, lucky guy! ;)

I guess where the pump just adds a drop here and there, it doesn't seem like that much water, but maybe it would fill up a sponge. But I dont use any paper towels or sponges at all. Just the humidity pump thingy.
Annnndddd. . . . everyone is gone. I have a gift. lol Peace out, fluffy muffins. I'll be bock.
CHOOKS!! miss ya muchly! :frow
