Please do not try pushing on it at all, you could seriously injure or kill her. It looks like her stomach didn't fully close after absorbing the yolk. Give her time and it may close right up. Try to keep her from dragging it around or catching it on anything. Maybe put her in a little dish lined with paper towels. Leave her in the incubator until it closes.

I could be wrong, but it looks almost like it's herniated. I agree with Pyxis. Do not be pushing on it. Give it time and see if it corrects itself. Keep it separated from the others. Keep in mind that when you ask for info on forums, not all advice that is given is going to be correct. When in doubt, go with your gut.

Hi Amy . one thing I would do is iodine and guard against letting it stick and tare and lose the yoke .should be fine with time though .

I'm good just busy all the time and he is fine . He's going to the adult center everyday . only four hours though . so I don't have much free time .how is yours and your Dad ? now this web won't let me post. so I'll just typing . Need to post pictures of the chicks they hatch at the elementary school which I have to go get tomorrow .

That's good!! Not you not having any time of course, but the center. My boy is good. We lost our first chicken, Peep, the special needs roo that was almost two in the middle of the night so he had a hard morning, but he's doing better tonight. Dad is still hanging in there. It's tough sometimes, but he's still going as much as he can.

Let me know if you want to bring in some new genetics to your Spitzes this fall. Mine are doing great. You never said they were not like regular chickens! They are halfway to turkeys with their inquisitiveness, and even speak differently. I haven't tamed any yet but they do get into more trouble than anyone but the turkeys (who always get caught INSIDE the feeder).
