Shocking Food Industry Secrets

Monsanto's corn is a registered pesticide because if a corn borer or whatever bites it, it dies.

Yummy.

Buy all our food locally at a co-op.

When I was a Food Science Major in college back in the 80's a professor offer to give any student an automatic A in the class without doing any assignments and pay for the 3 credits for you IF....you could fine a bottle of ketchup with no gnats in it. In the 11 years he had made the offer no student was awarded it. My class got creative...we all got together and made some homemade....he found gnats in that too!!!

I really think education is the issue though.

Dry beans, flour, sugar, you know staples are cheaper.... IMO not enough people cook from scratch, or don't know how.

Heck, no one with extra time on their hands in this job market should be eating convenience/processed foods.

We are boarder line poverty level people. Yes I have the privilege to live rurally and raise much of my own organic food, but still for some one in an urban area, they can take advantage of sales. Buying basic foods and stock up, buying seasonal foods when they are cheap and can and freeze yourself...

You are correct, I believe. It is a huge philosophical shift for many, and often quite a rearrangement of use of time as well. When everyone works or goes to school, it can take quite a change in style of living.

I won't bore the readers with what my son and wife and kids are going through. Suffice to say, they would like to do this, are working toward it, even live rurally, but it will be some years before they can realize their goal. "With extra time on their hands" is a crucial phrase here.

Every administration has appointed foxes. Clinton appointed Jane Henney; she now works for AmerisourceBergen and AstraZeneca. There seems to be a revolving door between FDA and Big Pharma and Big Ag. The term "FDA Approved" is laughable to me. I highly doubt the agency will ever shake off its corruption.

FDA = Monsanto, Monsanto = FDA. Government organizations are inherently corrupt and untrustworthy. When corporations cozy up to 'em, it gets real ugly real fast.

BTW, do NOT confuse this with capitalism. Capitalists don't get government benefits. Corporatists do. If a revolution ever begins, I claim the FDA. Tar and feathers!

Monsanto is the FDA? I always say that if I were president I would abolish the FDA and USDA, and get rid if mandatory schooling. Good luck with that, I know. :rolleyes

Might as well be.
