Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

I did get a few decent ones.

Ming, my 2 keeper Cochins, and the kitchen floor are all about the same color. Coincidence??

Always underfoot in the kitchen, hoping for a morsel to drop.

Stands up and walks on hind legs to beg for food. Circus cat!

She makes me think of a grey puma.

Tired of posing. Time for a cat nap.

They are really good photos

Ming is beautiful!!!!!

Very small world isn't it!!!My grandfather was an enlisted Navy man.

Ugh even tho I'm sick of the snow I was hoping for enough this morning that I could work from home. But no delay or closing for me. Guess I'll be making my hour commute!!! This is gonna be rough... I haven't been in the actual office for a week. Guess I better get up and take care of the chickies so I can head out !

From frozen water yesterday morning. To afternoon thunder storms. A high of 56 today. Upper 60's by Thursday. The ice and snow are going fast. My little feathered piggies will enjoy the wallow in the mud. Muddy eggs today. Wish they made Muck Boots for chickens

Good morning everyone! I'm finally getting back into a routine now. All the funeral stuff for my g.uncle is finished, Hubby is back at work, and the oldest 2 kiddos are back to school! Unfortunately, whatever I have been fighting off this weekend has caught up and I feel like crap. I am hoping that I only have to keep the little ones from tearing the house down for the most part... Much more, and I'm probably done for! I went to bed at 8:30 last night, and still feel like I could sleep for days! Anyway... on the chicken front, not really much going on. I did "catch" my first egg yesterday! I was reaching under Jezebel for the eggs already in the nest, and Plop! I was kinda excited!

And it seems that the girls are in a contest to see who can lay the biggest egg! One of the EE's laid a monster yesterday! Other than that, its been quiet! Which is a very good thing!

Pretty kitty, at least what I could see around the striped obstruction in front of my own computer screen.

I had my first real customer over the weekend, and they wanted their eggs washed.... they bought 4 dozen! I was washing eggs at 10:30 Friday night so they could pick them up on Saturday morning!

She really reminds me of a short haired version of Sydney! She's very pretty!

Wow, that's a big one! Wonder if it's a double yolker. What kind of chicken lays that little putty colored to the right of the big one? I get one of those from a New Hampshire. Lots of extra bloom on it or something, but when it's wet, it looks like a typical brown egg.

Congratulation on your first real egg sale. Must have freed up some space in the frige!

Hope you feel better soon. Those kid germs are killer. Try sucking on those zinc lozenges (Cold-eeze). Really works for us.
