feel better, soon!
So, I have no woodworking skills. At all. I want to build a coop, but I am not even sure how you join two pieces of plywood together in a corner. Anyway, I was so proud of myself that yesterday I had made a sliding pop door for my girls, and today, I made them a new roost (version 4, they broke the others. I am not good at this stuff) This version was a dowel with those cups on either end attached to the wall, with one of the cups slotted so it's removable. I had cut it to size using a circular saw (eeeeek - power tools!) and everything. Well, ummm, after I installed it, I realized a little problem. It can spin in the socket. . .
It's getting dark, and Hecate is in there, balancing on it, bawking cusswords at me. Tomorrow I will go take it out and put a couple of screws in the side of the end that fits in the slotted socket so it can't spin, unless I think of a better solution. I don't want to glue it in place because I want it removable and cleanable.
Bet I never get an egg from that roost wrecker.
