You were probably suppose to have this cat that is why you saw the ad in CL, I say go and get her, Older cats are the best they have been there done that, and they are usually pretty much laid back and don't get to worried about things.

It is a comfort to have a fuzzy kitty with you when you hear a bump in the night, I have three cats and My eldest (16 years on August 9th) when she hears something she will Growl LOUD!

and Now my second oldest (8 years on October 4th) is starting to do the same thing, it's quite strange to have two cats laying on either side of you and all of a sudden they both start growling in stereo!

I hate that when they do that when I am watching a scarry movie!

Older cats are better than kittens, I decided to on a whim get a sweet little kitten from a farm, the daughter was holding the kitten in her arms and the kitten looked so Calm, She was not, I got her home she was calm for around 3 days and then she was bouncing off the walls!

She is finally 1 year old today, and I am tired,

I forgot how much stuff kittens can find to get into that adult cats don't, Next time I will adopt an older cat!

So in my opinion leave the kittens, Cats are much better!
