One Sebastopol gosling egg is VERY narrow. Its pointy end is pointy. Considering that the female is barely a year old, should I remove that egg??? I've never had to cull a chick and am concerned that the gosling that grows in the narrow shell might not develop properly. Does anyone have any insight or success in this type of situation, hatching a chick/duck/goose out of a narrow egg???

id just wait and see, if it develops itl prolly be just fine ..but in my own experience odd shaped eggs or odd texture shells have a high rate of not being viable ..

The egg at at the top is the ? egg. Below it is a normal egg. The second picture is a side view...

I'm not sure about goose eggs.... I have ducks. Im' in the same situation with a duck egg that is narrow. I'm giving it a few days, but mine doesn't appear to be developing.
On another note, I have the exact same granite countertops.

The one in the photo ended up quitting right at two weeks of incubation. The veins disappeared and only a slushy blob remained.

So, problem worked itself out.

Strangely, the other 6 that I set with it also quit around the same time.

If the little one does make it, it might need a bit of help hatching...

Good luck!
