Inside during construction. I hadn't finished the windows or roosts yet.

My 6 bay nest box. It is light enough for me to remove it from the coop if I need to.

All my windows open like these on the South side.
Yes I built the entire thing prefab style and my hubby helped me get it all put together.
Had to get that part done fast as I tore down the old coop and the birds were stuck in what was left of their old run while we finished this up.

Amazing! Would never have known by looking at it that it is made from reclaimed materials, very impressive! Thanks. I am proud of it.
A large part of the coop and the run are reclaimed materials.
The long walls are from big shipping crates, the roof metal is from an industrial building, the windows are from scrap lexan from the same building. The chain link run is from a section of fence we changed to privacy.
I forgot to give props to the BYC coop pages and inspiration I got from the great coops there.
One thing I love about chickens is that they don't give a cr@p about what a coop looks like, or what it's made of, or how it's made. As long as there's no uncomfortable drafts, humidity or ammonia issues, security issues, they're like "We're good! We can work with this!"
