Thanks she's a Broody and a half. Hatches 100% Feb-May non stop. And people say "she should get a break between hatches" pssssh not that lady. Her sister is just like her

I got 20 on him too (if he was able to catch them).

You cant teach reactionary skills like that with normal training. Free range chickens have been trained through series of life and death decisions like shown above. Dodging dogs, chasing cats, fighting crows, grabbing flies, etc.

thats awesome. I just let them naturally hatch out and raise chicks, but a dedicated broody definitely has advantages. as long as she eats, drinks and stretches out everyone once in a while she is probably happy to do it. all instincts. I feel worse preventing hens from going broody.
