That's my free ranging leiper pullet. Came from the trees straight to the deck. Didn't want to walk in the snow. Just a dusting overnight. It was a balmy 23 degrees. Warm compared to what it's been

you should find out what is in the pellets. I am guessing heavy starches of some kind. I dont know that I would feed them that daily, but as a treat its probably fine.

maize is fine.

I mix whole oats, scratch grains, black oil sunflower seed, laying pellets, whole corn and every now and then sweet feed pellets. All depends on the season though.
Laying pellets are just fine though as many guys just use them and birds are perfect.

Haha yh suppose na last time i fed my hens layers one of my best stags got out ate and choked on layers so layers is a no no
