Yes I'm definitely sure it was a owl, after the first night there 4 missing. The next night my nephew walked out with a spot light and seen a owl fly from a tree next to the barn where some of them were roosting. The next morning all of the remaining miners got put up in pens. It seems the owl only hit the white colored birds, oh and they were roosting about 12' off the ground. The foxes had no chances to get one.

I just assumed she is a hatch but maybe not? What do ya'll think..........

What is the normal number of hens that go in with game roosters?? My husband said 2 and I think that is right as well but I had one guy tell me 5 hens. But I am thinking that is normal roosters. Isn't that why when you buy games as adults they sell them in trio's?
 
And for me I'm just trying for a couple stags or a few pullets per breeding not mass producing like layers.
