I have 10 after I lost 7 to the owls, I guess the white ones were the easiest ones to pick off at night

Oh yeah you said that. That sucks bad. You positive that it was an owl? 7 is a whole lot to lose. I've lost big groups but it was always either a male fox or a breeding pair around this time of year. Did you find em dead? Just wondering since as far as I know I've never lost any to an owl.

Yes I'm definitely sure it was a owl, after the first night there were 4 missing. The next night my nephew walked out with a spot light and seen a owl fly from a tree next to the barn where some of them were roosting. The next morning all of the remaining miners got put up in pens. It seems the owl only hit the white colored birds, oh and they were roosting about 12' off the ground. The foxes had no chance to get one.
