My roosters have a hard time with tie cords... everytime I tether seems like it is bad deal and they just keep pulling.
Seems to take them a little while to get used to them, then they function just fine. I grew up in the city and couldn't keep much in the way of roosters, but put my hens out on tie cords. lol

Too bad the velcro wasn't strong enough. I also wondered if it would get dirty and stop sticking.

Sure like those pics of the spurred hens you post.  What percentage of your hens come spurred?


Dark legs about 80% the lighter green legs about 40-50%

and never seem to breed yellow leg females at all. I have one yellow leg pullet this year and too early to tell. The yl hens i have/had were not mine and did not have spurs
