Nice what are they

American Game. Part of remnants of family line. Based on what you will find in this thread they are most similar to Blue-faced Hatch although these guys have a lot of brown scatted about. They were core to what we made battle crosses from.

It is kind of fun working with birds enough that you really get a handle on what they are made of. Also forces one to consider how to introduce new blood without making a mess.

@centrarchid Those stags all look identical... amazing. The only way I saw a difference was looking at the pens to see that each pen was different.

They differ with respect to combs and splotch pattern on breast. Also differ weight.

I did not realize at start that sire was homozygous for so many traits. Whole effort started with two hens. Offspring from both hens in generation four with some from one looking very blue-faced hatch. Balance are dirty with a couple browm-breasted brown reds.
