It's called keeping it real. The whole problem is people aren't told this and in 7mo when the shtf its the birds fault. No this IS THE WAY IT IS

@miss heny
 dont let those guys scare you... hens and stags should be fine together as long as they were raised well.

Having confined birds and then introducing new ones will cause problems. If they came from free range setting they will probably know how to act.

There will always be testing of dominance and some fighting, but if you are watching them there shouldnt be a problem with death, as you could remove trouble makers or weak hens/pullets before that happens.
I guess the reality is whether or not she wants gamefowl or just chickens

Having a large pen/cage/aviary with plenty of perches also help when introducing.... placing an unfamiliar trio in a 4x4 dome pen is asking for trouble.

You sound like your raising parakeets
ok..

Having perches is important so that hens can escape rooster as needed. Roosters typically wont mount hens when on perch... Also when roosting at night, battles rage for position on a single perch. Having two high perches for night roosting helps this tremendously

Yeah so the pullet sits up there the whole time. Good idea

Centra please clarify, games or dominiques

I can do both. Do it routinely with my American Games and have been able to repeat with pullets from other strains. Need to attempt with yours. My approach may not be effective with Aseel. Sources of those other strains would be offended if you said their lines not game. I should put you in contact with them. Flypen knows at least one.

Shubin I understand some of the things you are saying. Under no circumstances can truly "game" fowl be raised under your conditions. Not gonna happen. You already said you can't cull birds! How do u pick the ones to breed? Color, comb type? Anything you don't think is good enough u sell? If that's the case than maybe your way works
