Centra, that is what I normally see too. It just struck me as odd to see that girl lay an egg this time of year, especially with our transition to cold and snow the past week or two.I will not start seeing game eggs usually until about February. Unless I provide supplemental light. Even if birds where in lay that would not benefit me as conditions not ready to rear chicks free-range in winter. Rare instances where I do have games hatch off in December / January has involved pullets roosting in livery area of barn where we kept light on so we could observe mangers and not disturb stock with frequent comings and goings.
My non-games also will be tying up all incubator and brooder capacity which I do not like for games anyway.
