He is holding tail in that manner associated with not being all that courageous. A bunch of mine doing same and one is running loose. Next warm sunny day and poopy will be hitting fan as all will become courageous for the production season.

I am not certain who you are getting into there. If possible and serious about getting birds, then see and handle first hand. In my life I have acquired games from another not kin only twice. Both times I should have inspected bird in hand first. Still would have kept one but would have been better prepared for what I was getting into. If same guy, I probably got worst of lot because I was after color and not much else. Shame on me.
