You're always gonna be at the mercy of the shipper. Hopefully u pick one that gives a crap. Like writing hatching eggs on the box. I highly suggest that not be done I did an experiment two boxes sent same place (N.Texas) one with hatching eggs one without the hatching eggs box had scrambled eggs the other box great hatch. I believe it brings unwanted attention. Also no "settling" of eggs on a counter in the summer for a day. I also believe being shipped in a hot truck/plane can start development and then people let them sit on a counter or wherever in 70°ish temps for 24hrs could kill developing embryos. Straight from box to hen or incubator. Do what u will just my opinion. A lot of hard headed know it all's here (not this thread) that only do as they read and as a result almost everyone has negligible at best hatch rates with shipped eggs. I honestly don't think I've ever had lower than 50% development at least not that I know of
