whats this?

So how often do they go broody?
A hen in good condition can easily commit to brooding three clutches in a production season. Each brooding cycle has a duration of about 10 to 12 weeks. If hen comes off with a larger brood or forage is poor then duration is longer. If eggs are collected as laid most hens will produce more eggs but will still eventually go broody even on an empty nest. Many of my hens in a henhouse setting can produce in the range of 120 to 180 eggs annually while when going through brooding cycles you will be lucky to see 48 eggs when average clutch size is 16 eggs which not all hens realize. Most hens produce only one or two clutches per year, easpecially when forage / nutrition is poor.

My gamecock. I found him on the streets and kept him but dont know the breed.

This is him now dubbed and all. Any ideas on what breed he is?

green feet, sweater/roundhead any ideas on gender?

my little hen, still young giro/ roundhead

green feet but dont know the breed

Feather colorwise they look similar to some of mine although mine never have yellow or slate legs nor do the exhibit peacombs.

The breed / strain concept does not mean much unless acquired directly from party that developed them. Once they go through somebody elses hands you get into issues of the second parties breeding efforts which can rapidly change things especially if crosses are made. All this assumes every body is in know about what they have and are honest.

Otherwise they look like Amerrican Games.
