I live in county where NASA is supposedly setting up an observatory for the event. Will be taking day off work and pulling kids out of school for it. We will travel for clear skies. Chickens will be watched closely for responses. Partial eclipses I remember in 1970's did impact birds in cockyard.havoc I sent you something.

Anyone getting ready for the Total Solar Eclipse in August? Centra, I know you probably areMy 86yr old Mom - this is all she wants to talk about. I ordered some viewers so she can see it. We aren't in the path of totality, but I think we should see most of it. I need to study the maps better. I guess we could drive to Great Smoky Mountains, but traffic would be a nightmare. That would be a "long trip" for both my parents, so we probably won't do that.
We aren't too far outside the "gray area" in the maps, so hopefully it will be great.I live in county where NASA is supposedly setting up an observatory for the event.
