My Blueface are the Bennetts
400
One of my blueface style hatchs ... Not really a blueface hatch, but a cross that possesses similar traits. I didn't get them from the professor but the man I got them from did, he got his fist of this line in 1975 and got a second bunch from the proffesor 15 years ago before the man died. My contact has all the history and genetic records of these chickens. I was just lucky the man thought enough of me to allow me an opportunity to have these awesome fowl. That's cool you got those blueface hatchs. Did he provide you with any breeding records or genetic info?
The man I got them from got his first of these birds in 1975 from the proffesor, he got a second infusion of this blood 15 years ago before the man died. My contact has all the history and genetic records of these birds. I was just lucky enough that my friend thought enough of me to let me get some of these chickens.

I have the same problem. I want to keep all of them, because I'd hate to see them with someone who wont take care of them (like I do) or exploit them for profit. When I do get rid of roosters, its usually for free and to a good family home.

Someone who pays $ for a rooster usually has the intent to get a return on their investment.

Plus I have raised all these for several generations and I almost have a sense that they are like my children/grandchildren and I want them to have the best life and a chance to breed, be free, etc....

But I also live in lala disneyland, and realize I may be too soft for games, considering what they were intended for.
Yes I agree. There is a word for that. Lol

I've done some cuban american crosses and thay terned out good do you by any chance sell any cuban eggs i just got back in to chickens and want to raise up some cubans i just ordered a dozen from r.a thomas any one no of him and his cubans i ordered his jerazonos ...

They all come white, there are two sides to these White Toppies there is the Rose comb white leg side and the straight comb yellow leg side. I am concentrating on the rose comb white leg side as I find them more suited to what I like.

Here is a straight comb yellow leg pullet, she the only one my yard, but my source keeps both sides.

Do the half Hennies not get the hennie look until cocks or do they look that way even as stags? I have a cock that looked typical as a bullstag but came into first cock feathering looking a bit hennie. He has no Hennie in his background.

Some are more hen feathered as stags than others, and some wont really look hen feathered until after their second molt.
Sometimes the crosses don't really come hen feathered at all.
