The round growout pens work good and cheap no framing just circles of wire w/ tarp tops

Would they hold up to wind and snow?

They hold up to wind. I stake me ne with tent stakes. Snow don't know

That's because I made the worst shot ever! The deer was already alert had about 6 deer around me and they picked me out but weren't sure what I was. This was the second time in as many hunts so i decided to take a shot if I had it. Well she turned quartering away but picked up my movement just as I was settling the pin. Buddy I'm telling you she bolted so fast I hit her ridiculously far back.

I shot her at 7:40 am. Tracked from 9:00 til 11:45
Jumped her once and then stayed with her for over an hour. I normally would have given her more time but it's 80 degrees out.

I hate the lead doe that walks around looking up in the trees, in S. Texas we had a guy practicing his drawing every time one came in. He had ever deer on the property looking up all the time. Regardless it was a successful harvest, congratulations.

ill pm you the pic. I dropped the deer off at a butcher around the corner from me. Too hot to mess with at my house. They make good jerky, snack sticks etc..and I usually get the burger mixed with 10% pork and some chops or steaks. She came in at 92 lbs field dressed.
