On nights when it is supposed to be really cold, I will give them whole corn just before the go up to roost. Maybe it makes me feel better knowing them have some slow burning fuel in them for the night.Once it gets cold the birds will eat all the boss and corn first then the millet then the oats and pellets. Summertime the corn is last to go usually. They know what they need imo.
