What happens when you don't have a bird to spare to feed that hungry coyote and her pups? Nothin' getting in your yard so she goes looking nearby? Man may be cruel, but nature is harsh... j/s...
ya they go looking nearby, like they do every night.. like they have for thousands of years.
When I don't have chickens to feed them (99% of the time), they just walk by and continue life.
Nature is harsh I agree. Thats why I try to make it a little easier. I would appreciate the help if I was a coyote.

A simple google search will show you many reasons why it's not a good idea to feed coyotes or any wildlife for that matter. Not just for human and pet safety. They will sometimes alter their wild behavior and wait for food, leaving young unprotected. Just one example. There is plenty more. I'm sure it makes you feel good but you are doing them a disservice. There's no disputing it either. Plenty of radio collared coyote studies that prove it all.

Agreed... they arent my pets and Im not trying to sustain them. They arent waiting at my house or abandoning their pups for a chicken every 3 months or so.

I dont like to waste a dead chicken to the trash. I also ran out of places to bury them.
Not much different than Flypen feeding the gators and hogs.

And I dont feel a need to shoot them for walking through their territory. Thats definitely not good for them.
