): distemper sounds like h*ll
99.9% of people are always worried about raccoons with rabies. It's almost never rabies anymore but distemper. Years ago I was checking traps at about 3 am in the woods along a two track. Passed a raccoon sitting in the middle of the road holding its head in its hands. I got out with a .22 and poked it to get him off the dirt road. Took me 15 minutes to get him 5 ft to the wood line. Went on checking traps for about an hour or so, came back through and he was back in the middle of the road again. I tried again but he just kept snarling and looked like something out of a horror movie. Had to put him down.

Came home from work one day at 1pm out in the yard was another raccoon holding its head down in its hands. Went in to change clothes and get the gun. Just as i came out the door he was charging the chickens on the far side of my fence line. I met him around the front of my shed with a scoped .22 and that bastard stopped for a split second looked up at me snarled then charged from 5 ft away. Put a round right in his head. Lucky shot cause if I missed he'd of had my leg.

What's the History on those blues?
Like who started that line?
I've read that some guy in Washington had some real deal blues (i forget the specific name) but apparently he's deceased. Rather pick at your brain than believe Hogwash some enthusiast wrote.
Look up Judge Wilkinson Typewriters, he made them with a Butcher cock over 2 Irish blue hens that was gifted to him. He didn't like blue colored stags and told his son to cull them, his son took them home and raised them to 2 yr old cocks then brought them back to the Judge, needless to say the Judge was impressed and put them in a keep to fight a main. They earned their name pecking their food out of tin cups. ( sounding like Typewriters) the whole story is published in a gamefowl magazine which should be on the internet.

The Typewriters should be 100% straight comb, yellow or white legs and mostly colored like the cock I posted. Some of the most desired blues up north are the Miners with straight combs and yellow legs.

Thank you.

Them blinders work pretty well or any y'all use em? Are they still able to eat drink and breed?
I've used the plastic pin less peepers before. I had a few hens together that were picking feathers. They work but not long after I took them off they were back to their old self again so I culled them. Aside from game birds I think it's a temporary fix for either screwed up birds or a housing issue.

Havoc you don't mess around, I feel like you would cull for a discolored fingernail lol
