You hear about frostbite all the time with the birds combs. Well the other day when I was digging out my truck I got a little on my index and middle fingers on both hands. Work the past two days has been difficult.
Very minor. But it hurts like hell! One finger may blister. Hopefully not though. Something as simple as picking up a bottle by the cap is practically unbearable. Where I was stuck the wind was just ripping across the road. No choice but to dig it out. Had I not got in the truck like six times to warm up it probably would be worse.

Stinks bud I know they said here uncovered exposure of more than 15-20mins would start frostbite to kick in.

I know had I not trimmed that WH he'd have frostbite that being said birds are tough in their own right!

To be clear my American grey gamecock will be bred to flypens Bob Bennett American grey gamehen

What didn't ya understand

Damn windshield washer fluid was frozen solid in my work truck and mine. I brought windex to use then it froze too. Getting a little ridiculous around here now.

I was out there from about 4:30 am til 6:00 am. I’m probably lucky but man my fingertips hurt real damn bad. Think they got wet from shoveling. I was brushing the snow off as best I could. Not quite good enough I guess. Gotta do a better job of protecting these magic fly tying hands!

From what I hear nobody is going to stop and help
I swear to you. The nearest house could see my headlights. Turned on the light looked out the window and then turned it off and went back to bed. I know this for fact because my wife told me on the local town Facebook page the lady posted about how bad our road gets with the drifting snow. Lady said there was somebody stuck this morning! They need to do something about it! My wife posts “ yeah that was my husband”. Lady says “ oh sorry” haha. I don’t need anyone’s charity anyway. I got it out. May be short a few fingers but I can still flip em off!
