Slightly off topic... Havoc, do you have a recommendation for a kid's bow? My son is showing some interest and I would like to get him something functional. He is a lefty so that may limit choices. Thanks!
How old is he again? Compound or traditional?

3riversarchery. Look under youth bows. There’s a few.
I bought my son a little ambidextrous bow from dicks sporting goods, but he was only 5. If he’s older he might be better off with a real miniature bow.
Now I don’t support dicks sporting goods since they changed the gun purchase policy.

He is 10 and has used both. We did a little checking this afternoon and he is left handed but appears to be right eye dominant. The bows he has been playing with are right handed, which may have been correct all along.

If I were you I would get either a recurve or a longbow from 3rivers. They are more fun than a compound. They aren’t exactly cheap though.
Which hand does he hold a knife in?

@flypen
Decoy retriever, egg retriever.

If he’s actually left handed he would need a left handed bow. He would hold the bow in his right hand and pull the string with his left.
I’m not sure about the eye dominant thing because with a longbow you kinda look where you shoot compared to a bow with a sight.
* shoot where you look
