But they're definitiely not white pearl or yellow. It's a nice bird, but I prefer the station and colors on Hector better. Gloria and Maria's father and brothers were all well feathered around the cape. I'm sure Hector will fill out more after his first molt. His kids are well mannered and very athletic so far.

I've noticed it more with postiza fowl they do some funky dubbing usually looks like a ramp at the bottom toward the beak.

I was told by Cuban cocker that they leave combs on for as long as possible because it builds neck muscles.
I dont know about half dubbed... maybe frostbite on the tips?
