There's no variations in color on the cock side other than the amount of lemon color in their hackle, the hens do come in a couple different colors patterns. What color variant is it associated with in adults or possibly juvenile color patterns?
She is good. I know the parents and have them both still. I say random because there is no way to describe them accurately, because the parents (and grandparents) were crosses I made also.May I ask what’s the point of doing that? If you really like some birds that seem smarter, healthier mature quickly etc. you won’t be able to recreate them.
I will never understand the logic of breeding any way where you can’t postively identify the parents. The only reason I see for it is to sell numbers of birds. And then only after the multiple hens within a trio or whatever have all proved they have excellent offspring. Even then most would keep original pairs or individual birds penned separately.
did you pull that lumber out of the swamp? jk dude.
First hen screams pattern gene on chest although her base coloration is unknown to me.View attachment 1446270 View attachment 1446272
I have some in that same color pattern but darker and some that'll be almost totally black on their neck and head.
