I have been using mulch for the past year and it's worked good so far for me I will clean it all out spring and replace it with new

I'll clean up around the place (leaves,twigs,bark,etc) gather everything up and put it in the larger breeding pens. I don't clean it out I just throw it over the old stuff, but i will clean them out once everyone is done molting and put some fresh stuff in there. I'll throw grass clippings in too lol

He will be a good prospect depending on his demeanor in the months to come. Has a good body and good wits about him. I just need to tame him down

Probably two of my favorites... Both are good hens and produce well. I consider them well balanced/proportioned.

What does he do when he’s out of the pen?

Goes straight after one of the dogs. Then kind of just hangs out and aggravates my other roosters

I’m not sure what your problem is with him. Sounds totally normal to me. Sounds like an aggressive rooster. I don’t know maybe I’m confused.

That's not necessarily a bad thing better aggressive toward another rooster than not. I've got almost 5 month old stags that can't be within a pen with any other males within 5ft or they want to fight that to me doesn't make them not worthy at all to me that's a good sign. The handling just takes time to work with them he's young best to work with him now as much as you can.

He is just a little worse then other stags his age this year. The others would never try our big dogs but he don't care. I just hope it don't switch over to people as ive seen others do

That little thing? Come on you can’t be serious. He’s only 4 months old. I’ve got a few that wouldve left your dog blind.
As a matter of fact I have two hens that will go after my Doberman.

We have two cane corso females about 120lbs each mother and daughter, a bulldog, and my red heeler. One of the cane corsos and my red heeler dont mess with the chickens but the others given a chance will kill one. He aint got spurs to do anything yet just saying i can see a future problem if he doesnt tame up good. Hes not mean with me now but usually when there mean to the dogs they get mean with me and I don't raise man fighters. I'm fine with him being high strung just not a man fighter
