I'm saying if a bird eats all of it's feed except the whole corn and it's a healthy bird and I throw more feed and it eats but stil l picks around the whole corn I will cull it. My friend had laying birds that wouldn't eat whole corn but would eat the sunflower seeds, wheat, oats, and cracked corn. Spoiled on a filler if you ask meWHAT????
Right but I won't feed a picky animal. I don't buy shit feed and won't waste itYou beat me to it! Corn is a good feed component, but there is a reason ground or pelleted feeds are used.
I wouldn't read too much into that. Corn is more of a "filler", making up about half of some feeds. It is a good part of the diet, but relatively low in protein at about 7.5%.I'm saying if a bird eats all of it's feed except the whole corn and it's a healthy bird and I throw more feed and it eats but stil l picks around the whole corn I will cull it.
