I have noticed a genetic marker i beleive is from the cock because a few of each hens chicks have this. Its one dot on top of the chicks head with a space then a short line behind it. Its not on every chick. Only some and its on chicks from both of the hens i have so i beleive its a genetic marker of the cock. There was only one with feathers out of three and they all look similar. None have the genetic marker i speak of. The latest egg to hatch from this particular hen does have this genetic marker. Could this possibly be a sex link?

Lol, I received a white game and easter egger cross from a clutch of a friend. I thought he would be a really pretty game hen until he grew ear tufts
beard, and those legs turned blue. Those crosses are easy to get rid of though, they're usually prettier than laying breeds.

I believe it's possible to find local gamefowl that are pretty good, and I'm starting to like regardless of the lack of history. My Grey American Gamefowl perform better as laying hens than my laying breeds. The stags and cocks spar better than any other gamefowl I bring home, and they are tame. The only issues are that I don't like st8 combs or yellow legs, so hopefully the peacombed greenlegged hen will throw a stag in her likeness.

I have a Kelso hen and a mug hen that'll jump on anything you put in the pen with them, you can't put a stag or even a bull stag in with your hen, it'll have to be a cock and a 3 or 4yr old is best because she's going to get punished for jumping first. The older cock knows how to handle most any hen. She will get punished so don't put a mean cock with her

Would you be opposed to using AI on her? That way you would keep your hen and roosters safe.

I'm sure you can tell by the looks of this old girs she has had plenty of punishment I just have to see what such a mean hen puts out she is off a real good cock so we will see I hope...

Yes sir, plus she's molting. You can put a good mannered 3yr old cock with her, once she sees that he's dominant she'll accept him within a few minutes.

Conditioning her nutritionally will be a first consideration. You may also have to put her through a molt first as well. Then try only with a full blown cock, no stags / bullstags. that is exceptional condition and able to interest most hens. Do using a pen that is large and easy for you to get into quickly without stressing her. If practical, then tame her to handling by hand so she allows your close proximity when you attempt to expose her to the cock. If goes well then let cock cover her then isolate her again. I would not attempt putting them together unless she solicits the cock but watch out she can go banshee after being covered.

She is a healthy hen just been in a lot of fights she had a short pen fight today with my blue muff stag and she was way more in to it than him and she is not a man fighter so that's a good thing it should be a good project for me I just can't wait to see how the birds I get out of her act these Cuban birds can be very hard to raise at times I've had them fighting in the incubator one time ruff little birds...
